Citizens United, and now McCutcheon vs. Federal Election Commission

4/30/2014

Is this a great country, or what? The Supreme Court has ruled foolishly, as time will prove, that the concept of free speech is the basis for allowing money of corporations and wealthy individuals to corrupt elections. This should be a no-brainer. Corporations by definition are not individuals, the Supreme Court's decision notwithstanding. That law of the land allows management to speak for all of its employees in making political decisions by supporting candidates it chooses to support. Now the McCutcheon case allows deep-pocket individuals the right to influence elections that are not in the their jurisdiction. In other words a Georgia resident can influence elections in Iowa which he or she has no business doing in a true democracy. Strive!

He stayed and earned a BA degree from Arkansas U. Worked at Tyson to put himself through. He now spends half time in USA , where he has a daughter, and VN.

Unique Bus Travel in Sleeper-Like Contour Seats.

Took a bus from Northern Hotel in Da Nang, the base of my operations, to Qui Nhon near the village of Hoi Nhon, where the Tran family gathered on the day of Tet, Jan. 31, 2014. This bus pick-up spot was only one block from the Northern Hotel, to which I walked with just a back pack of a few things. The accommodations inside the bus were totally different than what I expected, but comfortable. Entering revealed three double-deck tiers of a laid-out contour seat with blanket. The person in the foreground by the bus door is putting his shoes in a provided plastic bag, which everyone had to do before entering the main interior. It was quite comfortable and was able to sleep away part of the eight-hour trip with several stops at modest road-side restaurants.
Flew back to Da Nang when Test was over.

Three rows of these double-deck sleepers filled the entire length of the bus. Very comfortable!
